The (In)Convenience of Genius and Courage
TRACK: Case Studies

This pragmatic and inspirational session provides candid insight about what it takes (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially) to create a Living Building. Addressing this ‘Challenge’ requires the genius to develop innovative solutions and the courage to persevere through seemingly intractable situations by going outside 'business as usual'. Using their personal experiences in designing, building, and operating a registered Living Building project, the presenters will explore the roles of genius and courage in sustainability by leading the audience through an applied exercise to champion project tasks that factor into the realities of a Living Building.
