Finding the Right (Retro)Fit: Co-developing Programs to Transform Building Energy Use and Eliminate Emissions
TRACK: Courage to Scale

Tackling the climate challenge requires transforming city energy systems, including the rapid decarbonization of all existing buildings. This session will outline actions and insights on existing retrofit programs, then collaboratively develop inspired, courageous, scalable approaches to retrofitting an entire city’s building stock in one generation. Using the District of Columbia’sClean Energy DC plan to frame the challenge, we will engage the ingenuity and wisdom of the practitioners in attendance in applying the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance’s Energy System Transformation Playbook to design their own effective and scalable program ideas. A panel of experts will offer input and takeaways.
